Cathy,
I love your website! I am American, married to an Italian, from Calabria, we live in NY now, but always dream of living in Italy together with our 7 month old son Francesco.
DO you make your own Olive Oil as well, do you distribute in the US?
We have an Italian Olive Oil of the month club with about 1000 members. Maybe we could collaborate some how.
Ciao
Buon weekend!
Jennifer Callipo
Hello Jennifer – thanks for the reply, and it’s lovely to hear your story. I hope you manage to get to visit the Italian side of the family regularly!
We do make our own oil and would love to do something with your Olive Oil Club, so someone from Nudo will be in touch.
Ciao for now,
Cathy
Sirs
Can I receive the olives from the trees besides the olive oil?
Does thae farm jar/ship olives cured for eating.
I go gaga over bright sweet green calamata olives in the fall. A piece of bread, a glass of chardonnay & a plate of
olives is all a man needs to reach pure nirvana.
Thank you
RFF
Hello Raymond,
We only produce olive oil from our groves in Le Marche. You need very high quality olives for making great olive oil, so it would be a pity to prize olives for preserves. You can however purchase some Olive Tapenade from our sister website, Nudo-Italia.com, in the meantime whilst we continue our search for high quality preserved olives to stock under the Nudo brand.
Watch this space.
Nudo
Cathy,
I recently found out about your olive oil when my aunt sent me an ad from her local small town newspaper in Pennsylvania. She immediately alerted my uncle who had a good Nudo laugh. You see, our surname is Nudo, and my grandparents hail from Calabria. My Italian cousins are prolific olive growers, so I am amused and delighted by your choice of names. Can you tell me the origin of the company name?
Of course, I will now have to buy your book, and order some olive oil, adopt a tree, etc.
Best regards and happy holidays,
Randolph Nudo

Hello, I just love your site! Rudy
Just a quick question. When the olive oil is sent would I have to pay shipping every time?
*Nikki
PS Love your site!!
Hello Nikki,
Good question. You will be happy to know that the price and delivery cost as stated on the website covers the whole year’s worth of packages – all three in fact.
Happy Adopting!
Team Nudo
First of all congratulations for your project, it looks really impressive! I am the director of a new online guide focused on the concept of food sourcing and on helping people better understand the origins of high quality foods.
I came across the story of your company, checked your website and blog, and I liked so much that I have written a post on our blog, that you can check here:

I hope you like it…Please let me know any suggestions or comments!

I really enjoyed your blog. Its nice when you read something that is not only informative but entertaining. Awesome!
Hi
I was trying to purchase your book but i am having problems with the payment. i keep getting an error.
is there another way?
thanks
Jo
I have just read your delightful book. I found it very informative and much better than the usual run of the mill “Running an Olive Grove” etc. I am planning to come to that area of Italy next year and hope to visit your Olive grove. Where exactly are you, I have been unable to find Loro Piceno on the map.
Hi,
I read about your company in a magazine, and knew I had to look it up. I really love your website and concept. I was just wondering how much olive oil would I be receiving if I adopted a tree. Also, stated that flavored oils would be delivered. What flavors of olive oils would there be? Thanks, keep up the good work! Elane
Hey Guys, Brilliant! Love the concept but on the practical side you don’t show anywhere that I can find how much olive oil a tree we’d purchase will produce in a year. We are thrilled with the concept but like you in your story found the needs of the grove and to maintain the tradition were not free.
We’d so much like to participate but need to now the return on our investment. It sounds so cold .
Thanks Steve
I read about your company in this month’s Taste of Home magazine (so I’m guessing you’ll get a lot of hits this month). The site is wonderful and I love your business idea. It fits so well with the growing movement to “know” your food. My husband I are interested in adopting a tree, but like the two posts before me, we would like to know how much oil we would be receiving.
Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you. Again, this is such a neat idea.
Sarah
I love your blog. The recipes are terrific. When I saw that you had picked and were packing the oil, I thought that we would be tasting that great olive oil soon. So, the question is, when should we expect to see the proceeds from our tree (or the equivalent, I realize)?
Thanks,
Keith
Hi…just adopted a tree. Love the whole idea, the book, the blog. Wondering, can we visit our tree someday? It would be a great adventure for our kids.
thanks,
Rene
Buon giorno
Our son gave us a fabulous gift last Christmas! We have an adopted olive tree on the Nudo Estate..Our spring delivery arrived and we are delighted with the product! We made a caprese salad last weekend for a family reunion..and the oil was a hit
We are visiting Genova in July and would love to visit/hug our tree on the estate!
Are there any nearby Bed and Breakfasts where we might stay over?
Is there a better time to visit than another?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Maria and Joseph Navin
Hello Cathy,
Lovely to see how the ‘alternative oil business’ is doing so well.
Rosie and Sorrel look so…………… big.
How did you get your blog to look so great, I gave up in the end and ended up paying loads for a website, take a look!

Hi Cathy and Jason,
which would be the nearest town re: accommodation etc? Thanks much,
I gifted my husband a tree for Xmas. My daughter will be travelling to Italy in October 2012….if we wanted to accompany her and visit “his tree”
Valerie from Canada
Hello Valerie – that is a lovely time of year to visit (though my overall fave time is spring). If you email emily at Nudo, tell her which grove your tree is in and she will send you a list of places to stay and things to do. The address is emily at nudo-italia.com.
Thanks,
Jason
I received your book as a Christmas present – what a fabulous read! Have recommended the ‘adopt an olive tree’ to a friend to get her partner for his birthday and am thinking of doing the same for my sister’s 40th later on in the year.
We were among the lucky people who ordered your panettone before supplies ran out. Would you please consider offering the same delectable confection as, say, a large panettone loaf, shipped all through winter? It has been so good to be able to indulge in a baked treat with your sublime olive oil and not butter supllying the moisture. Very sad, now that we are nearly down to crumbs from our Christmas order.
I am visiting Le Marche region next week, wondered where you are and if it is possible to visit – not sure if you have a farm shop or similar?
Hello Julie – we are near the town of Loro Piceno, and we do have a farm shop with the grove. If you get in touch by email to info(at)nudo-italia.com, we should be able to arrange a visit for you.
Hello. My son gifted me this past Christmas with an olive tree for one year in the Nudo grove of Natali. I’m so excited to taste my olive oil!
I recently received my adoption certificate with a registration code. I’ve visited your web site but have not been able to locate the spot where I can register to see my tree. And I’d like to purchase further deliveries from my tree too. Could you please direct me to the proper page or heading?
Cheers
Brenda
We are coming to Marche in May and would like to visit my tree (RO264). Please send us the information packet so we can make arrangements.
